Zero Point Salad Dressing | Weight Watchers (1)

A lot of the bottled salad dressings are really high in points.

Some of the Fat Free / Sugar Free dressing alternatives are lower in points and very good but they can contain ingredients/chemicals that I'm dubious about eating (or even pronouncing for that matter!)

I wanted to find a recipe that I could whip up at home with ingredients that I usually have in my fridge.

This one was perfect as every Weight Watcher that I know has fat free Greek yogurt or fat free natural yogurt in their fridge!

This recipe is adapted from a fat free salad dressing by Jamie Oliver.

He uses fat free natural yogurt, but I swapped this for Greek yogurt as that is my preference!

You could use either.

What kind of chili. Do you mean chili pepper?

    • Marianne says

Cathy. Sorry, yes I meant red chili pepper - my apologies that it wasn't apparent from the recipe! I will amend it now. Kind regards Marianne

I don't understand why lemon is an ingredient. Greek yogurt is already tart. With the lemon this is sour.
I might try again without the lemon, but first batch was not good. Sorry. Thank you for trying.

How do you measure a handful of corriander

    • Rachel Liberatore says

Handful of fresh cilantro...which is the same as coriander.

I'm confused about the coriander as well, like the lady above. I thought maybe you meant fresh coriander, but I couldn't find it at our store. So----if you mean dry, ground coriander--how much is a handful?

    Reply

    • Rachel Liberatore says

      Coriander is also cilantro:)

      Reply

      • Amanda says

Not the same at all. Coriander are seeds, the leaves (CILANTRO), comes from the seeds. Totally different 🙂

        • Jacquie says

Actually, in the UK they use the word coriander for what we in North America call cilantro. Coriander seed is a dry spice. So yes, a handful of coriander is the same as a handful of cilantro.

You can also use i pack of hidden valley ranch seasoning to 16 oz i think of greek yogurt for all your dipping needs or even dressings i guess. 0 points

    Reply

    • alyr says

Totally untrue. The Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning is only 0 points for a teaspoon. Like other things, once you increase the quantities, the point values go up. 4 Tablespoons of seasoning mix is 3 points - for example

      • Debbie says

But if you use mostly Greek yogurt and very little Ranch dressing then maybe it’s ok?
I use Chobany Greek yogurt and it’s 0 points!

Mine came out kind of watery. I used dried dill (it was all I had). Seems like I could have left out the vinegar. I'll try it again.
